Answers about choosing a first agent, permissions, review, testing and the Flowtivity service behind this site.
What is an AI agent for a business?
An AI agent is a system given a defined job, approved information and permission to take certain actions. It may interpret a request, prepare a draft or choose an allowed next step. The role needs an accountable owner, clear limits and a route back to a person when it is uncertain.
Which agent role should we start with?
Look for one repeated task with clear inputs and an output a person can inspect. An internal enquiry brief, a structured reporting draft or answers from approved documents can be useful starting points. The suitable role depends on your workflow, information, systems and review capacity.
Is an AI agent allowed to send emails or update our systems?
Only within the authority agreed for that role. Reading, drafting, sending and writing are separate permissions. A role that prepares a reply should not automatically have permission to send it. Define the human review point before any customer commitment or consequential update.
How does an agent know when to ask for help?
Its brief should define incomplete inputs, conflicting sources, unusual requests and actions outside its authority. Test those cases explicitly. The workflow needs a visible hold state, a named owner and a way to resume after a person checks the issue.
Can an agent work with our existing software?
Feasibility depends on the software interfaces, licensing, access controls and the information involved. Discovery checks those conditions before promising an integration. A first pilot can use a narrow approved sample while access and the operating process are assessed.
How do we check whether a pilot is useful?
Agree a set of ordinary and difficult examples, an expected result and a reviewer. Record corrections, missing information, unsupported claims and exceptions, then compare the work with the current process. Use that evidence to continue, change the role or stop.
Does this site represent a separate Gold Coast company?
This is a Flowtivity service microsite. Flowtivity is based on the Gold Coast and works with Australian teams on practical AI consulting, training, automation and supervised agents. Enquiries, scope and engagements are handled through flowtivity.ai.
What should we bring to a scoping conversation?
Bring one task, its process owner and a fictional or redacted example. Describe the information available, the proposed output and the decision a person must retain. Avoid sending confidential records or credentials before the appropriate information handling arrangements are agreed.
